New Zealand rider Ally Wollaston has had a big impact on the first women's edition of the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya in Spain.
Wollaston riding for the (AG Insurance-Soudal Team) had already won her first stage in Manresa then added her second victory in a new sprint arrival in the final stage,

The-23-year-old Aucklander once again beat overall race winner Marianne Vos (Team Visma -Lease a Bike) in a sprint to the finish line.
"The last kilometres were always going to be quite hectic going into the finish today,": said Wollaston.
"The team stayed calm, moved up when needed, and Kim found a gap that didn't really exist in the last 500 meters, setting me up perfectly for the sprint. We had a plan, we stuck to it.”
World cycling legend Vos took the overall title after a stage victory and two seconds, both behind Wollaston.
The third and final stage of this Volta a Catalunya had a route of 86.6 kilometers starting from Molins de Rei and ending on the streets of Barcelona.
