One of the worst kept secrets in New Zealand sport has been confirmed with the signing of centre Tacko Fall to the NZ Breakers for the next two Australian National Basketball League (ANBL) seasons.
The 7-foot-6 (2.29m) Senegalese star has been based in New Zealand for the past month, rehabilitating from a quad injury.

Fall, who has previously played in the NBA with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers, brings significant international experience to the Breakers.
Fall said he was looking forward to the opportunity to get out on court.
“I’m honoured to have the opportunity to play for the Breakers. New Zealand has a great basketball culture, and the fans here are incredible. I’m ready to give my all for this team.”
The Breakers have a 10-3 record this season, sitting them second in the standings, behind 10-4 Melbourne United.
The Breakers have a double-header in Round 10, with away games against the Illawarra Hawks on Thursday night and Perth Wildcats on Sunday.
