Uncapped Auckland batsman Bevon-John Jacobs was picked up for the Mumbai Indians

The 22-year-old right-hander was the lowest-valued New Zealand player entered in the auction, registering for the minimum base price of $60,000.

Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Jacobs' family moved to New Zealand when he was three years old.

Jacobs will play alongside Black Caps spinner Mitchell Santner, who was bought for $406,000, Mumbai picked up Trent Boult on the first day of the auction for $2.5 million.

Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra were recruited by the Chennai Super Kings on day one of the auction.

Meanwhile, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the youngest player to earn an IPL contract.

Suryavanshi, who hit a 58-ball century for India under-19s against Australia earlier this year, was picked up by the Rajasthan Royals for $223,000.
