Kiwi driver Hayden Paddon has finished third at the Royal Rally Scandinavia in the European Rally Championship.
Paddon started the final day in just 3.3 seconds off the lead and put in everything to take the title.

However after picking up a puncture on the final power stage he dropped from second to third and missed out on bonus points.
The rally was won by Oliver Solberg the Swedish driver who is the son of the Norwegian 2003 World Rally Champion, Petter Solberg. Finnish driver Mikko Heikkida was second
Paddon is second overall on the FIA ERC championship standings behind Frenchman Mathieu Franceschi.
Paddon and Franceschi both have 56 points, but the Frenchman is ranked ahead of kiwi after the three rounds so far.
The next best driver is 16 points behind Paddon.
The Rally Estonia is the early next month.
