Kiwi driver Scott McLaughlin has finished second in the latest IndyCar race in Illinois after a number of crashes and restarts.
McLaughlin was beaten by team mate, American Josef Newgarden, on Sunday (Monday NZ Time) but only after leading the race for 67 laps.

A speedy pit stop by Newgarden with 18 laps remaining gave him a narrow lead, which he was able to hold, despite rivals crashing out around him.
For McLaughlin, who started on pole, there was both pride and disappointment as he described the race as "pretty chaotic".
"I'm super proud bringing second home. I'm gutted we didn't get the win, obviously, but overall Team Penske 1-2, you can't be upset about that."
Rookie Linus Lundqvist of Chip Ganassi Racing finished third, while fellow New Zealanders Marcus Armstrong and Scott Dixon finished eighth and 11th, respectively.
McLaughlin sits fifth in the IndyCar season standings, behind Palou, Colton Herta, Dixon and Power.
The series returns to the track on August 26 for the Grand Prix of Portland.
