Lydia Ko's quest to complete the full set of Olympic medals got serious on Day 13 in Paris.
The two-time major winner sizzled on Thursday (Friday NZ Time), with a five-under 67 in the second round of the women's strokeplay golf tournament at Le Golf National to move into the top-five.

Decked out in black, the 27-year-old produced six birdies and a lone bogey to rise 10 places into solo third at five-under, three strokes behind the leader, Switzerland's Morgane Metraux.
Ko, a silver medallist at Rio 2016 and bronze medallist at Tokyo 2020, is chasing gold to become just the sixth New Zealand Summer Olympian to claim the full set of medals.
After an inconsistent opening round on Wednesday, Ko found her rhythm on day two, with birdies at the second, third, sixth and ninth holes to go out in 32.
Two more birdies followed at the 10th and 13th holes to get to six-under, but she did spoil her good work somewhat with a bogey at the par-five closing hole, when she put her short third shot into the greenside bunker and was unable to get up-and-down.
