Liam Lawson has looked impressive in his second practice for the Racing Bulls at the Japanese Formula 1 race.
Lawson, whose spot at Red Bull was taken by Yuki Tsunoda post-China, finished a disrupted day at the Suzuka Circuit – 13th in the first practice and fifth in the second.

.
More importantly he finished ahead of Max Verstappen in eighth and Tsuonda in 18th.
Asked for his thoughts after stepping out of the car, Lawson said: “It was a good day. Nice to be driving, nice to be driving at Suzuka again.
“It’s a very cool track. With the resurfacing, Sector 1 is even faster now, so it just feels like it’s tearing your head off, which is quite exciting.
“But yeah, all in all a good day. Obviously tomorrow’s the more important one.”
