Ko slips in Canada; Alker up in Scotland

Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko is tied for 13th after the third round of the CPKC Women's Open after an even-par round.


Ko birdied the first hole and made par for every other hole until a bogey on the 18th on Saturday (Sunday NZ Time) in Calgary, Canada, to be three-under for the tournament.

At the Senior Open Championship at Carnoustie in Scotland, Steven Alker has edged back into the top-10 with a one-under round which included six birdies, three in a row from the 14th to 16th holes but bogeys came at the fourth, 17th and 18th holes, along with a double-bogey at the 10th.


Alker is tied for eighth at one-under, alongside Spaniard Miguel Angel Martin, seven shots behind the leader KJ Choi.


Michael Campbell is in a share of 25th with three other players at five-over, while the third New Zealander, Michael Long, is tied for 60th at 10-over.
