Day 12 at the Paris Olympics is a big day for The NZ Team in athletics, track cycling and sailing, with potential medals in all three on Wednesday.
Shaping as New Zealand's best medal prospect is the women's team pursuiters, who qualified first and will pedal in a first round race (11.52pm NZT) and potential medal race (from 5.17am Thursday NZT).
LATEST HEADLINES:
In the water off Marseille, Micah Wilkinson and Erica Dawson sit third-equal heading into the double-points medal race in the mixed multihull class, while Tom Saunders will also compete in the men's dinghy medal race, but a medal is near-impossible for him.
At the main Olympic stadium, three Kiwis - Eliza McCartney, Olivia McTaggart and Imogen Ayris - are outside medal chances in the women's pole vault final (from 4.30am Thursday NZT).
Also at Stade de France, four NZ athletes will be involved in qualification - medal prospect Hamish Kerr in men's high jump, Tori Peeters in women's javelin, James Preston in men's 800m and Ethan Olivier in men's triple jump.
Making their first appearances in Paris will be golfer Lydia Ko (from 10.06pm NZT), track Sam Dakin in the men's sprint (from 10.45pm NZT) and diver Lizzie Roussel in the 3m springboard (from 1am Thursday NZT).
Canoe sprinters Lisa Carrington and Aimee Fisher return to Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium, this time for women's K1 500m heats (from 7.30pm NZT), and track cyclists Ellesse Andrews and Rebecca Petch in the women's keirin (from 11.26pm NZT).
