New Zealand athletes will be in action across 10 sports on the first full day of competition at the Paris Olympics.
For The NZ Team, the day will stretch from rowing heats at 7pm Saturday NZT at the Vaires sur Marne Nautical Stadium, on the eastern outskirts of Paris, to the waters of Teahupo'o, Tahiti in the Pacific Ocean for surfing heats at 9.48am Sunday NZT.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Road cyclists Kim Cadzow and Laurence Pithie will get the first chance to get the New Zealand onto the medal table when they line up in the individual time trials - Cadzow at 12.30am Sunday NZT and Pithie at 2.32am Sunday NZT.
Swimmers Erika Fairweather and Eve Thomas may also get a shot at a medal in the women's 400m freestyle, with heats from 9pm Saturday NZT, and the final scheduled for 6.55am Sunday NZT.
In team sports, the OlyWhites will look to follow up their first-up victory over Guinea with another against the USA in Marseille (5am Sunday NZT).
The Black Sticks Men are in action for the first time, against India in their Group B opener (3.30am Sunday NZT), while the All Blacks Sevens will look to shake off their disappointment in the men's sevens fifth-eighth playoffs (12.30am Sunday NZT).
Eyes will also be on equestrian (Clarke Johnstone, Jonelle Price, Tim Price), tennis (Lulu Sun and Erin Routliffe) and canoe slalom (Luuka Jones).
