Kiwi drivers miss podium at Milwaukee

A difficult day for the New Zealand drivers including Scott McLaughlin in Milwaukee at the penultimate IndyCar event of the season.

A difficult day for the New Zealand drivers in race one in Milwaukee at the penultimate IndyCar event of the season.


After starting the first race in pole position, Scott McLaughlin's finished eight, Scott Dixon edged into 10th and Marcus Armstrong's fell down the order to 21st.


LATEST HEADLINES:


Pato O'Ward won the race to keep pressure on Alex Palou in the drivers standings.


Palou is first on 514 points followed by Will Power on 471. Colton Herta is on 426 while McLaughlin is fourth with 422.


O'Ward has 413 points in fourth with Dixon next on 403 points.


Race 2 has the Kiwi drivers in a good position on the grid. McLaughlin and Armstong are second and third respectively while Dixon is 17th. In pole is Josef Newgarden
