Josh Geary has won the Charles Tour’s Mount Open after a sensational final round 64 to escape the chasing teenager Robby Turnbull.
Geary, 39, won at 12-under two shots clear of Turnbull to become the winningest Charles Tour player.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Going down the 18th he finished with a birdie three shot, to claim the victory with Turnbull, the New Zealand stroke play champion at 10-under.
Geary made six birdies in the final round including on the 15th, 16th and 18th with the solitary bogey at the 17th.
Mark Brown was third at five-under followed by, Kazuma Kobori, Kerry Mountcastle and Dongwoo Kang all at four-under.
The next tournament on the Charles Tour is the Tauranga Open at the Tauranga Golf Club.
