Unfortunate news for the New Zealand Warriors and their fans with the start of the season just over a week away.


Fan favourite Dallin Watene-Zelezniak will be out for a number of weeks with injury.


LATEST HEADLINES:


It's been confirmed the wing will have surgery after fracturing and dislocating his wrist in the pre-season draw against the Sharks in Sydney.


There is no timeline for his return as yet.


Also out injured for Saturday's second and final pre-season clash against the Storm in Hamilton are centres Adam Pompey and Rocco Berry plus halfback Tanah Boyd.


The Warriors first game of the NRL season is Sunday 2 March away to the Canberra Raiders.
