It will all come down to the final race of the season for New Zealand Formula E drivers Mitch Evans and Nick Cassidy.
In the penultimate race in London on Saturday (Sunday NZ Time), Evans started on pole, his fifth of the season, but finished second to Garmany's Pascal Wehrlein.
LATEST HEADLINES:
Evans, who earned the pole position but was down on energy to the Porsche of Wehrlein in the race, was forced to settle for second after some tense racing during Attack Mode activations.
Cassidy started the race near the rear of the field but fought his way up to seventh.
Wehrlein was third in the standings before the race, but due to Evans’ second place and leader Cassidy only managing a seventh has leapt to the top of the championship table.
Wehrlein has 180 points, Evans 177 and Cassidy 173.
Either New Zealander can win, but would need to finish ahead of Wehrlein to take the championship title.
Twenty-five points are awarded for first and 22 for second.
The season-finale in London on Sunday is scheduled for 4.03am Monday NZT.
