Discus thrower Connor Bell has broken his own national record for the second time this month.
The Aucklander recorded a throw of 69.51 metres this morning, over a metre better than his previous record.

Both throws were at the same venue in Ramona, Oklahoma where a number of records have been set in the past month including Lithuania's Mykolas Alekna, who extended his own world record to 75.56m.
There has been debate over the venue with throws enhanced by the design of the stadium, which appears to take advantage of high wind speeds.
The field also features several throwing circles all positioned to help athletes take advantage of the wind, no matter which direction it's coming from.
Bell's throw moves him into the top 50 all time in the men's discus, competed at both the Paris 2024 Olympics and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
In Paris, he finished 13th, just missing out on claiming a spot in the final round with a best effort of 62.88, while in Birmingham, he finished sixth with a throw of 59.47m.
Bell, 23 is coached by Kirsten Hellier, formerly the coach of Dame Valerie Adams.
Earlier this week Bell was included in the New Zealand team for the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo in September.
