Carrington wins top Māori Sports award

Dame Lisa Carrington has claimed the top honour at the Māori Sports Awards at a ceremony in Mt Maunganui.


The sprint kayak great won three times at the Paris Olympics and now has eight golds overall.


She was recently given one of the highest accolades in the Olympic movement, the Outstanding Sporting Career Award.
