The Black Caps have lost the second test against Sri Lanka in Galle by an innings and 154 runs.
New Zealand's lower middle order put up a fight, but the battle was too much. After being dismissed in the first innings for 88, the second innings was much better at 360, but still not enough.

Going into day four at 199-5 with Tom Blundell 47 and Glenn Phillips 32 at the crease the Black Caps added 161 runs in quick time.
Blundell eventually went for 60 and Phillips 78 including six fours and three sixes.
Mitchell Santner also passed the half century mark with 67 also featuring plenty of fours and sixes.
Captain Tim Southee made 10 from 10 balls while Ajaz Patel was stoic with the bat making 22 from 40 balls and hitting a trio of fours and a six.
Prabath Jayasuriya took 18 wickets across the two matches and was named player of the series while Nisham Peiris took six wickets in the second innings
