The Australian Volleyroos Women's side have clean swept the five game series against the New Zealand Volley Ferns 5-0.

They won game five of the trans-Tasman series in straight sets 25-19, 25-13 25-17 at the Manurewa Netball Centre.

The series was the first time at home for the Volley Ferns since 2019 and gave the side rare time together with the hope of future games.

The Australians took the first set 25-18 in a close contest before adding to their advantage in the second via a 25-13 result.

The third set saw the Kiwis battle back but ultimately the visitors were too good on the night and they completed the victory 25-17.

The pleasing factor for New Zealand was having three teenagers in the squad as well as a couple of newcomers to team.
